Les Griffons de Pichon Baron Grand Vin Blanc Sec comes from a specific terroir in the vineyard of Château Pichon Baron, where cool gravelly soil on a limestone bedrock imparts great acidity, minerality and profound character. We sourced the Semillon vines from a massal selection of Château Suduiraut. Rich and with its fine aromatic expression, this wine reflects its terroir with a marked limestone flavour.

Tasting note
Les Griffons de Pichon Baron Grand Vin Blanc Sec 2024 reveals a brilliant pale yellow colour. The nose opens with aromas of white flowers and white-fleshed fruits, notably pear, enhanced by a delicate hint of lime zest. With aeration, subtle oaky notes emerge, adding further complexity to the bouquet.
The palate opens with a refreshing attack before developing a pleasing roundness. Flavours of lemon, fresh orange and poached pear fill the mouth. The finish is marked by fine tension, complemented by the mineral and chalky character of the terroir.
In this vintage defined by freshness, Semillon expresses itself beautifully on this highly distinctive clay-limestone terroir.
